In order to complete this bonus objective as of the release of Midnight:
You need to complete the Campaign quest The Hour of Need, then you need to do this bonus objective before finishing the Call of the Light, which last quest is Light's Last Stand.
Upon completing this quest, Xal'atath says:
"Azeroth's vaunted champion. How I admire your resolve, your drive to achieve victory.
Even when it's so obviously out of reach."Something about this, paired with the random little girl that Salandria is protecting, makes it feel as if the child is Xal'atath, or a puppet of some sort. I have absolutely no basis for this theory, and Salandria protecting a child is well within character, but it also feels like the sort of thing Xal'atath would absolutely take advantage of.
