Much easier to get to by going around the island on waterstrider as he is at the back of the island, I however went through the elite camp and jumped down to my death over the cliffs.
Water directions if you have a water-walking mount like the Crimson Water Strider:
- Fly to Warden's Redoubt flight point in Aszura, and ride offshore over the water.
- Ride counterclockwise around to the western side of the island.
- Head into the lagoon by shipwrecks, gulls, and other mobs, making landfall by a big [object=208198] (40, 84).
- Ride between the big mobs, or stealth/prowl, southeast into the nearby cave entrance around 46.7, 86.1. There are smaller bonfires on each side of the cave entrance.
Land directions (may be less pleasant than water due to hard-hitting patrolling mobs if you get lost):
- Fly to Warden's Redoubt flight point in Aszura.
- Ride west up the path between two rocks at 47.3, 73.0 (the ground might be colored bright green, depending on the mobs around).
- The path becomes hard to follow with the green ground as it opens into a wider area, but head southwest through a large round natural rock archway at 43.2, 77.0, where you'll see the path again.
- Take the path down to the lagoon (you'll see puddles on the beach) around 42, 80.
- head southwest until you see the big [object=208198] (40, 84), and head into the cave with bonfires on each side of it.
A cave is shown on the map, though there are two caves that overlap, and the entrance to Tidross' cave is actually on the top (north) part of the cave picture. If you mess up and the cave you're in has a lot of spiders, you're in the wrong cave.
If you die during the fight, the graveyard is north of Tidross at 44.5, 82.7, and it's easy to wind up in the wrong cave when you're trying to get back to your corpse. From the graveyard, go northwest down some rocks until you're back in the lagoon area with water on the ground (42, 80), then go southwest until you see the bonfires, and head into the entrance.
