Picked this up from Mistress Mihaela, the Court of Harvesters quartermaster, in Darkhaven. Not sure what the requirements are, but I was friendly with the Ember Court when I got the quest.
omg. i just did this quest and early on i told pals if the spirits would be kobolds. half way through and fought frantic spirit with legit says "you NO TAKE CANDLE!". looked like the avg shadowland humanoid spirit but that quote is enough for fans to know that ALL KOBOLDS when they die go to revendreth.
funnier is they only appear when you need to gather wax,. so i can imagined the venthyr were like "vile creatures. turn them into wax then. cursed things keep blabbling not taking their candles might as well let them become what they desire."

Of course Darkhaven is honored to provide traditional decorations for Prince Renathal's court. Venthyr decor is all about setting a certain mood. That means lurking stonefiends and death blossom scented candles in vast quantity. Our resources are stretched thin, {name}. We can supply stonefiends easily, but our artisans need wax to melt with fresh death blossom. There should be candle remnants and drips in the village to scrape up. Death blossoms can be harvested from the plants themselves.
