Currently (10th Nov.) this is very quick to complete.

If the quest doesn't show up on the map (it didn't for me), the location is in the Field of Dreamers, around 50, 75.

The field is scattered with large clickable boulders. When you click on them they explode into 5-6 smaller pieces, which each contain around 5 [item=134115]s (though rarely, some contained as many as 30 for me, which certainly sped up the process).

Additionally, looting the fragments has a high (>75%) chance to spawn a [npc=115470]. This mob has very low HP; my pets were pretty much one-shotting it with auto attacks. These mobs also drop around 5 [item=134115]s.

So all in all, collecting 500 fragments doesn't take long at all. This appears to be one of the less painful archaeology "fortnightly"s. It took me around 5 minutes to complete.

Happy digging!

Description

As you may or may not have heard, I've been working with the goblins on using a new way of uncovering our artifacts. And if you know anything about goblins, you know that I'm talking about explosives. We've only run a few tests here at my camp, but I would appreciate your help in testing this method out in the field. I've marked a location on your map that has some particularly difficult digs.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

I'm not sure if you're in on this, but the Reliquary has commissioned the goblins to help them with uncovering artifacts in this land. I'd like you to go and see if there's any validity to this rumor... and I'd also be interested to know the results.

After this quest

That reminds me, I found a map to a chamber that may or may not hold something of value. It doesn't seem to have any power associated with it, which is why I'm handing it over to you. Here, take some more explosives. They may help speed up the process of finding it.
