TheWoWDBHad a bit of a problem with this quest while leveling my warrior (fury). Just going near the chickens would aggro them making it impossible to complete. Tried all sorts of thing to fix this and what solved it was to change spec to protection. So if you are having problems doing this quest with warrior try to change your spec, since these days you can change your spec anywhere.
