TheWoWDBYou will likely need to complete a calling to get a [item=181475] to open and receive your anima before adding it to your reservoir. Callings show up on your map under the covenant campaign (I had to expand mine to see it).

Getting this quest after switching covenants was bugged, I received no calling or item and was not able to get the anima quickly - I had to do WQs to build up the anima items from scratch.
Annoyingly I turned in one quest too many and couldn't skip straight to my first soulbind.
This quest is bugged. I deposit anima into the reservoir and nothing happens, nothing removed from inventory and nothing changed on the screen.

Description
As the flow of anima withered within Bastion, our mighty Archon entrusted me with guarding our stores until they are needed. You may deposit any anima you recover into the reservoir here. By my life, and by the glory of the Archon, I will ensure they are kept safe.
