Investigate the Broken Shore is a quest for level 45.
All of us know the price we paid the last time we set foot upon the Broken Shore.
<Jorach turns his eyes to the ground.>
I recommend dispatching a scouting team to investigate the Legion's strength. We need to know what we're facing in that accursed place.

Once you complete this quest and turn it in to Lord Jorach Ravenholdt, a new mission becomes available to send your followers on.
[mission=1558]
No quest popped up for this mission, it just became available.
The Mage, Shaman, Rogue, Demon Hunter, and Warlock versions of this quest all imply that you're talking to [npc=100635], the NPC in the Warrior class hall who gives this quest. They should (hopefully) be hotfixed soon to reference [npc=108515], [npc=96746], [npc=101513], [npc=103761], and [npc=106199] respectively.
I would like to point out that my follower was not on a mission and was not seen near the mission table. I had to rezone out/in. Which allowed me to turn in quest. As already mentioned, the mission "Recover the Wounded" became attainable upon turn in.
-hope this helps- [/cheers*]
