If that's the case, complete A Dangerous Harvest first, and as soon as you're finished, the quest area with mining nodes should pop up right away.

If you're like me and having a hard time finding your way to the quest:
Easiest way to get there, take the flight point to Tirna Vaal and head straight West on the map.
Or you can go north at /way 53.66, 42.10 or go west at /way 56.94, 36.22
Once there, you'll have to kill the pesky mobs and mine 10 of the quest ore (only one ore per mine - RIP). Voilà!
While there, you can get the pet [item=180642] by going to /way 52.60, 37.92 and going down the Tree slightly to the nest.
