I've done this quest on 3 different toons all with varying skill level in fishing(1,313,531)and the higher your skill the faster the quest goes. On the level one fisherman it took me nearly one hour. Skill level 313 took me roughly 20 minutes. 531 took me around 10 minutes.Good luck and happy fishing!
I don't know if it was just luck or a coincidence but I just fished my 5 piranhas in like 15 minutes by killing a yellowback water moccasin and then fishing on top of the corpse. If anyone tries this and it works, well there you go!

Certain fish are very difficult to catch. The wolf piranha falls squarely into this category. Lucky for me that you showed up! Put those fishing skills to the test and bring me back a few from the krasarang river due northwest of here.
