Reduction in Force

I noticed that a few people were having trouble with this quest, so I hope this clears up a few things.

1. Why is Alexi Barov not in my garrison? I can't find him anywhere!

To have Alexi Barov appear in your garrison, you first need to recruit him as a follower. After you construct a Lumber Mill (it only needs to be Level 1) you have a chance of finding him in random locations out in the world, pinned beneath a Fallen Tree. If you have the 'Find Lumber' ability active you will be able to see the fallen tree on your mini-map when you are nearby.

Some of the locations where Barov can be found are in the comments here and here. Make sure you stay close to Barov when you rescue him until you recruit him as a follower. It has been reported that moving away from him can make him disappear.

2. Okay, I have this quest, but where do I find his brother?

He specifies in the quest that his brother can be found near small trees. I went to Shadowmoon Valley despite it being enemy territory, because it has a much higher amount of them then other zones. You do not need to cut down the small trees in order to make your target appear. When you get close to a small tree you have the chance of making him spawn.

ok, so found him got back to garrison got the quest, completed quest now i cant find him. anyone else have this problem?

If he's currently out on a follower mission you have to wait for the mission to complete and he'll be back. 😃
