TheWoWDBRivenwood is found directly north of the Steel Gate just past the road (30,20 is where I started). You need to find Riven Widow Cocoon. When you open them you have a chance at getting the Freed Winterhoof Longrunner that you need.

Very low "drop" rate on rescues, it was a frustrating quest for me.
This was a very intelligent plan on the spiders' part:
Step 1: Kidnap female tauren.
Step 2: Milk female tauren.
Step 3: Sell milk.
Step 4: Profit.

Description
Something, most likely the walking dead known as the Scourge, has agitated the creatures hereabouts. While escorting the sage here, we lost most of our hunting force to the riven widows -- huge and deadly spiders, which inhabit the Rivenwood to the north. I must stay here to protect the small force we have left, but you... you could see if my longrunners are still alive, trapped within the riven widow's cocoons. Would you do this, stranger?
