Skorn Must Fall!

Skorn Must Fall! is a Horde-only quest for level 10-30 in Howling Fjord. It is step 121 of 162 in the Howling Fjord storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Howling Fjord at 44.8, 30.4. It rewards 1 reputation reward and 525 experience.

Description

<name>, the vrykul fortress, Skorn, sits to the south. Its strange giants have recently awakened and have begun to spread, attacking us wherever they can.

My scouts inform me that they are poised to strike at us here, but I do not have the strength to repel such a force. Instead, we will prepare to leave north to less dangerous lands.

I ask that you use your cunning to buy us time. I've sent a brave ahead with the details. Show this emblem at Skorn and he'll reveal himself and do all he can to aid you.

The quest helper will show a question mark in the middle of Skorn. However, you don't have to get there to use the quest item (since very likely you will get attacked by a lot of mobs). You can use it right at the entrance, as long as the location on your avatar says 'Skorn'.

Before this quest

  • Mastering the RunesHowling Fjord · Level 10-30

I think I've figured out what the Iron Dwarves are doing. The tools they use are imbued with magic during their forging. When they're used to carve runes, the symbols form much more than mere words. These runes have the power to bind, compel, and twist.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Demolishing MegalithHowling Fjord · Level 10-30

Binder Murdis created Megalith to be a kind of keystone for the runed giants and to lead them in their mission. Defeating Megalith will leave them lost and without direction.
