TheWoWDBWhen I completed this quest, I found him in my Garrison Pet Menagerie, Level 2. I was able to interact with him, It started about a 2 second cast in which I could pet him, He then started to follow me around my Garrison. How Cute <3

Oh, I see! It's like the quest for Dog, on the farm in Pandaria.
Not really sure what the point of this quest is unless it's bugged. Completing it does not make him a pet or follower. He's still there afterwards and interacting with him simply says he's staring at you affectionately.

Description
The stray boar is digging through garbage left behind by the iron horde. He stops chewing and stares at you-then he burps. He smells terrible. It looks like he's chewing on a chunk of rotten meat. Maybe you can find something a bit healthier for him to snack on?
