To clarify, the [Escaped Yak] isnt the Yak you are looking for.
You are looking for ones scattered around in the south.

Double right-click on a Wild Plains Yak, and they will change from green to blue. A rope will appear connecting you to them. You can tow them back to Eastwind Rest; you can run or ride at your option, although I haven't tried using a flying mount. Take them to the middle of camp and you'll get a delivery confirmation message for each of the three yaks.
As far as I can tell, you can can only capture one yak at a time.
You can also mount while dragging them back to base.

What to do
Description
Lok'tar, {class}. We've made progress, but we're going to need mobility if we want to maintain our foothold here in Kun-Lai. I don't see many worgs, kodo, or the like around here. What I do see are yaks. Our pandaren allies have said they make good mounts, so they'll have to do. Go round some up and return them here, so we can get our people riding them!
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Challenge Accepted
The yaungol have always been a difficult, proud people, but never this violent or aggressive. I do not know what has prompted this change in their behavior, but we don't have time to find out, now. We fear for our lives and livelihoods as long as Ur-Bataar, leader of the Bataari yaungol, lives.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Deanimate the Reanimated
I've got much to do here, <name>. I could use your help. There's a place to the northwest. The pandaren here call it Mogujia. Something's causing the statues there to animate, and our pandaren friends here are pretty spooked about it. If they're not dealt with soon, we might have a serious problem.
