Once you get onto Great Feathers back, you want to use the #3 ability which will increase your grip on him. While you are doing that you will want to hit and kick him to decrease his health to below 25%. If your grip goes to 0 then he will drop you off and you will have to shoot him again with the Tether shot to get back on.

Don't even bother reading what the buttons are for - just hit everything as it procs and you'll get the quest done. When the buttons vanish, do nothing ! Great Feathers will fly you back to the Quest-Giver, and you will automatically dismount.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • An Offering of EggsTiragarde Sound · Level 10-60

Our work isn't only to capture and tame gryphons, it's also to preserve them. Rescue any eggs remaining in nearby abandoned nests. Set them in one of the new nests we've built for the displaced gryphons. I am sure one of the gryphon females will adopt them.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Big BossTiragarde Sound · Level 10-60

With a performance like that, it's clear you're one of the top dogs here. Boss Tak will want to see you. He's up north checking on one of our camps in Waning Glacier. Head up that way and give him a hand. Oh, and I don't recommend looking him straight in the eye... or at his feet...
