Shards of Corruption

Don't bother with this quest, everything you do has a massive mana cost, you WILL go oom, you can be chain cc'd with no DR, and it takes far too long for you to kill basically anyone 1v1, they can and will just run away from you and mount up. Really cool idea but utterly pointless for the incredible amount of time it takes to gather the shards. It took me something like an hour to gather 20, and this was with a bug that made the void-covered ground not show up on my screen.

I just collected these today. Looks like you have to have PvP on in order to see them on the ground, I spend over an hour on PvE and didn't find a single one. When I changed to PvP and came back, I found one in the 3rd area I checked. Took about an hour total for me to gather all 20, with me doing 3 or 4 full loops north of Tol'vir.

Things to help you find them: Zoom your camera in all the way, turn off/down Ground Clutter to help decrease the amount of grass that can block your view.

There might only be one per corruption scar/pool because I never found more then 1 in any one area at a time. Do yourself a favor and just skip all of the purple pools in the Akhenet Fields where the eye mobs are. I never found one there, but it was to much of a hassle with the combination of mobs, PvP, and grass/plants in that area for me to bother looking there any more.

I've been farming this for a while, they're kinda hard to see, but in the void marks on the ground you can see them, try lowering the camera to ground level. Good Luck !
