Siege!

Siege! is a quest for level 15-30 in Searing Gorge. It is step 10 of 23 in the Searing Gorge storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Searing Gorge at 39.4, 67.9. It rewards 4,100 experience and money.

Description

That Overseer Oilfist couldn't'a picked a worse time to ask me to join a fight. My summit's already under siege!

It's nothin' my guards can't handle, but still, it won't be easy for me to just pick up and send some dwarves into that infernal gorge.

Tell ya what: you take out their marksmen that're holding our fortress under siege, and I'll consider your offer. Ye'll find 'em slinkin' around the flats to the east.

Useless one but if you're high level player doing quest for loremaster achievements, just aggro one of the Dark Iron Marksman and then stand there and do nothing. You'll get free bullet every second as the mob fires at you.

TBH it's faster to kill and loot than to afk collect bullets.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • In the Hall of the Mountain-LordSearing Gorge · Level 15-30

The Thorium Brotherhood doesn't maintain a militia - just a few guards, and me, and that's it. If we're to successfully strike against the Dark Irons of the gorge, we're gonna need help. Mountain-Lord Rendan sits atop that tower across the gorge, to our south.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Set Them Ablaze!Searing Gorge · Level 15-30

I'm not sure if ye've noticed, but my tower's much taller than any o' the other towers here around the Gorge. Some dwarves pride themselves at how deep they can dig, but not me. Sometimes I think I shoulda been born a Wildhammer. I still don't like the sight o' those other towers, though.
