If you start to mount up just after you loot the Tombstone, you'll beat the spawn of the hostile mob and can run away to the next one.
So I encountered a possible weird bug. Immediately after using the gravestones, I begin casting my greater healing wave. It seemed that if my cast was still in progress when the ghosts would normally spawn, no ghosts came. I managed to do the entire daily without ever having a ghost spawn. Can anyone else confirm this bug?

I need you to travel to Forgotten Hill, due west of here and release our brothers in arms' tortured souls away from this place.
