I asked a friend who was already on their second character and they said they weren't getting any [item=255826]s on their alt toons until after they'd completed the questline starting with Tales of the Sky/Ugh, Chores! and ending with The Legend of Aln'sharan.

To test this, I got on an alt I went to the Grudge Pit delve and killed the first room over and over about 6 times and did not receive any [item=255826]s.

I then went and finished the questline and again got no Mysterious Skyshards along the way. I got another 5 [item=255826]s from finishing the quest chain which is nice btw.

I then went back to the Grudge Pit, pulled the first room 6 times again and got a [item=255826] on each run.

Conclusion: I was either very unlucky before I completed the questline or completing the questline on each character is required for [item=255826]s to drop. I am gunna lean towards the latter and doing the questline first thing on every single alt I have do anything in Harandar.

To obtain the [item=256424] mount, you need to collect 500 No [item=255826], with which you can cast [spell=1259475] and obtain the achievement Herald of the Goddess.

To unlock these you need to do the questline starting with Tales of the Sky, which is given by [npc=242358], at /way 67.78 24.79. She is not inside a building or cave.

[npc=242358] won't offer you the quest until you've completed the brief quest chain starting with The Blooming Lattice which is offered by [npc=245637].

Note that when doing the next quest chain, which starts with The Blooming Lattice, when you reach Behind the Falls, the NPC [npc=245637] is in a cave behind a waterfall - it's not easy to find the correct entrance, but as SteadyFlight is now enabled for all it's rather easier - it's at 55.82 26.08.

Description

This is it! We have all the skyglass we can carry. The legends say that Aln'sharan cries crystal tears to mourn the missing Goddess. Maybe if we give the crystals back to him, he won't be so sad? Maybe then he'll appear for us! Meet me back at the village. I think I know the perfect place to make our offering.
