It's great that he is back in fine form and letting us know that he...
"has won a hundred wars? he, who stood alone against thousands and still shouted for my enemies to come?"But... then there is that awkward moment mid battle when Kil'ruk drops in all Angel of Death like and one shots all the enemies he has been working on.
Welcome back mate.
When you commence the quest and while you remain in the cave afterwards, you're given a buff called 'Scent of Blood' which I can't seem to locate in the database.
Interestingly, it reads
Fighting with Skeer the Destroyer,
which grants the passive ability, Scent
of Blood. Scent of Blood heals and
grants haste and movement speed
upon killing an enemy while in
Saltscale Grotto. This is curious because it refers to 'Skeer the Destroyer'; not Skeer the Bloodseeker, and 'Saltscale Grotto'; not Muckscale Grotto, where the quest takes place. Something missed during development cleanup, perhaps?

What to do
Description
I'm afraid that I wet my hands with saurok blood while you were away. I'm sorry, but I could not help myself. Now, watch them attack me. Pitiful! Do they think to take vengeance for their fallen? Do they come challenge ME? I, who have won a hundred wars? I, who stood alone against thousands and still shouted for my enemies to come? No, these... saurok... will crumple before me like paper before the flame! I shall show you my might, Wakener. Fight alongside me and see. Here they come!

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- A Bloody Delight
A warrior is not ready for battle until he tastes the blood of his enemies. I am still too weak to hunt, so you must go in my stead. Only the blood from the fiercest predators will do. I can smell their presence in the waters outside this cave!
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Amber Is Life
In order for our efforts against the mantid empire to continue, we require more amber. There is a great deposit of amber underneath the lake to the south, but the area is inhabited by a savage saurok tribe. I cannot spare anyone else. You must go to the lake and test the tribe's strength.
