The Search for Bovan Windtotem is a quest for level 70 in Ohn'ahran Plains. It is step 4 of 20 in the Old Hatreds storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Ohn'ahran Plains at 69.3, 47.7. It rewards 9,500 experience and money.

Description

According to this survivor, the centaur took them completely by surprise. Bovan led many of the braves against the centaur, hoping to buy time for the others to escape.

He succeeded, but Bovan and most of the braves have not returned. We must find him, <name>.

I need you to search the surrounding area. If you find survivors, tell them to make their way back here.

If you find fallen tauren... take something recognizable to bring back to their families.

When you save one of the Windtotem Survivors, he's repeating what seems to be a pretty chilling tauren song about the centaur.

"If dust shall rise,
above the skies,
run my children, run...

By beat of drum,
The centaur come,
For mercy, they have none...

When hoofbeats sound,
Upon the ground,
flee my children, flee...

To find the land,
Where tauren stand,
Do not come back for me..."

That is every comment on this page.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • A Tomul-tuous BeginningOhn'ahran Plains · Level 70

Since the dragons returned, we've seen an overwhelming number of outsiders passing through the plains. Normally we keep a close eye on our borders, but their sheer numbers, combined with the Nokhud threat, have made it difficult to track them.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Resupplying SuppliesOhn'ahran Plains · Level 70

The Nokhud have been striking at outsiders crossing into the plains. This is no doubt their handiwork. This survivor says that most of their food supplies were destroyed in the ambush. We should try to help out. Let's collect meat from the plentiful game around the Watering Hole.
