The Price

The Price is a quest for level 36-80 in Ohn'ahran Plains. It is step 3 of 13 in The Dreamer storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Ardenweald at 45.9, 60.8. It rewards 4,750 experience and money.

Description

I am eager to return to the Emerald Dream and defend the gardens from the Incarnates and their followers. But I cannot leave Ardenweald yet, not with my bond to the Winter Queen.

I dare not ask anyone to do this, unless they accept the consequences. As I did.

But there is one who could take my place.

The cutscene of this quest is somewhat bugged, with a few lines of audio not being played, which ruins the immersion of this decisive moment, ugh!

SpoilerTyrande's answer to Ysera is not playing, even if her model is talking. Then Malfurion's answer to Tyrande doesn't play..., even if he is talking...

Workaround: Quit game, verify install (Scan and Repair), and the voice lines played properly.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

  • Across the WealdOhn'ahran Plains · Level 36-80

It is time. I know I said that I was fine, but ever since Solethus' death, it's like I've been missing something essential. I am alive, and he is not. That feels... wrong. But there might be a way I can set things right. Ysera is the only one who can help us get control of Ancient Bough again.

After this quest

  • Storm's RestOhn'ahran Plains · Level 36-80

Let us go into the Grove of Awakening. The Winter Queen is the only one who can transfer this bond from Ysera to me. I have faith that she will agree. She aided Ysera in a time of desperate need, and now Ysera can help us in turn.
