Couple things about this quest - stacks of 20 Hardened Carapace are 2.37g and its roughly the same for a stack of the Barbed Legs.
Now, the larvae will metamorph always at 25% health, but not every larvae will morph. And the droprate off the Silkwings is not 100%. Be prepared for what could be a very long (albeit easy) grind.

Description
Hunting silkwing larva is a difficult challenge for our young warriors, but luckily, even if they fail to harvest the cocoon from the larva, we can still use the wings of hatched silkwings. In fact, we use the wings for much more than the cocoons, and we can never have too many. If you'll be out there, it would be a great help if you could bring me some.
