Eitrigg drops red swirling zones called Blood Ravager which can cut you down fairly quickly, and he enrages several times. Once I pulled him out of his building it was much easier to see and avoid the Blood Ravagers. He does leash, so be careful not to pull him too far. That should help most people get him down; if you can dispel Enrage effects you should have an easier time of it.
