If you decide to do this quest you will not be able to take The Cenarion Expedition from [npc=16885].

Both of the quests reward the player with 970 experience. And despite [npc=16885] being a member of the Cenarion Circle the alternative quest does not reward any reputation for the [faction=609].

In that regard it is completely up to the player on which quest they would rather accept.

Description

The Cenarion Circle's main expeditionary force in Outland is known as the Cenarion Expedition. Though it began as a small venture controlled directly by the Cenarion Circle, it's become a large and fairly autonomous body. The expedition's leader, Ysiel Windsinger, has asked us to direct volunteers to her outpost. Report to her at the Cenarion Refuge in eastern Zangarmarsh. Take the main path to the west and it will lead you directly there.
