Why Not Scallions? is a quest for level 15-35 in Valley of the Four Winds. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 2,400 experience and money.
I heard Haohan mentioning that he was going to plant scallions today. I'm not sure if today's the best day for scallions, but I'd like to hope that he knows what he's doing. He is the head of the Tillers' union, after all.
Could you plant a scallion for me?

Scallions? Why not Zoidberg?
You may dig out the sprout to free the plot, once you've got a credit for the quest and turned it in.
I.e., if you're maximizing your crops by listening to the drunk fish.
The quest does not require you to grow it.
This quest (along with all the "plant this seed" quests) becomes obsolete once you inherit the farm from Yoon - or rather, it gets replaced by the faction work orders.

The Tillers are peaceful and productive pandaren, working with the land to feed the massive appetites of their people.

Other quests in Valley of the Four Winds that reward The Tillers reputation: A Helping Hand (+900), Learn and Grow II: Tilling and Planting (+500), Learn and Grow III: Tending Crops (+500), Learn and Grow IV: Harvesting (+700), Learn and Grow V: Halfhill Market (+999), Mung-Mung's Vote I: A Hozen's Problem (+400).
Possession of the Lesser Charms of Good Fortune will result in great happiness and the eventual conversion into Warforged Seals, which allow players to risk a coin to receive a bonus reward from raid encounters.
Item facts are the current retail client’s (ItemSparse); the specialisations for a pick-one item are the ones the Blizzard quest API lists; faction and currency text is the client’s own. Lowest listed price = the US commodity auction house now.
Steps, storylines and map placement from the client’s QuestLine, prerequisite and QuestPOI data; neighbouring quest text is Blizzard’s own (quest API), shortened to its opening sentences.
