Just in case anyone was wondering, you only need to plant witchberries in ONE of your plots to complete this quest. Very important to know if you're just starting out with the Tillers and are trying to get a stack of 50 of something for a banquet of some kind.
You only need to take up one spot for the quest and the rest can go for whatever you may actually WANT to grow.
Also, "Silly Panda, Witchberries are for kids!"

That young'un over there, Andi, is going to grow up to be a heck of a farmer some day. I can tell just by lookin' at him. I think I'll plant him some witchberries. Kids love witchberries - it'll be a nice surprise.
