PaladinI got yelled at in a 5-man PUG because I BOPed the druid healer. The healer was very low on HP, and as a tank, I BOP healers when I think they're about to die. The druid said never BOP a druid healer. I don't understand why?

They probably didn't know what it did. As far as I'm aware, no healing abilities are disabled when HoP is used and it'll cause any melee mobs to deaggro. Perhaps shapeshift counts as a physical ability and/or they wanted to go to bear form to stun? At any rate, I'd appreciate it in any similar scenario.
There's no reason to not enjoy a hand of protection as healer if you're getting mauled. It doesn't prevent spell casting, just melee damage. That healer isn't going to melee your group to full HP :P
