TheWoWDBFastest way (at least for Alliance toons) that I've found to reach him using flight paths and glider:
1) Fly to Lorna's Watch flight path
2) Take Vethir (blue dragon) to Top of Galebroken Path.
3) Locate World Quest on map (51.6, 74.6) and fly glider there.

He has 14 mil HP, his health multiplies greatly if more than one player hits it. He hits moderately hard. Make sure to interrupt his skills, especially "Consume"!
If youre horde, use flightpath to Dreadwake's Landing (South Stormheim) and just walk up the hill towards south east, there is small ledge you turn to right and it will lead you straightly to Hannval the Butcher.
Very fast and easy to get to him as Horde. Just fly to Dreadwake's Landing and he's a quick 20 second run up the hill (run to Dreadwake's text on the map and do a u-turn around up the hill).
