WARNING: If you kill Denathrius before triggering the phase where you jump into the hole, you will not be able to loot the him as he will fall down the hole and leave you stuck up top. And if you're not a class with an immunity to fall damage (such as pally or mage), you have no way of retrieving your loot. You'll have to leave the raid and wait for the loot to be sent to you in the mail. If the red bouncy aoe is still present after he dies, you can actually glitch your way past it. You just have to keep using movement ablities against it and it will eventually jam your character between the rim of the hole and the centre and you'll bounce around until you fall through.

I don't think quest items or gold get sent via mail so you may lose out on them, but I'm not sure.

Edit: Worked out a way around this. Turns out you can use one of the Parasol toys such as [item=182694], [item=212500], [item=182696], [item=212525] etc, to gain slow fall for several seconds so you can jump down and not go splat. Just remember the parasol toys take a couple seconds for their slow fall affect to kick in and only lasts a few seconds. So don't use it too late or too early!

If you are here wondering if there is a quest associated with defeating Sire Denathrius, there is! The first time you defeat him, you will loot [item=179358] which starts the quest Redemption for the Redeemer. Upon turning in this quest, you will receive 5 [item=181552] for a total of 1,250 anima, so save the turn-in for your weekly [quest=61324] quest!
