As you are doing this quest and picking banners up on the floor, look to the left on the wall just before Lady Deathwhisper. You will see a banner on the wall. Click on it and you will receive an [item=250873]. When you get back to the Arcantina, go to the wall space between Gidwin and Morta Gage and you'll be able to place the banner on the wall there. This unlocks you being able to purchase the Ebon Banner decor item from [npc=252873] for 8000 Voidlight Marl.

Edit: Completing the main quest unlocks you being able to purchase additional Ebon Banner decor items from [npc=252873] for 8000 Voidlight Marl.
Picking up the banner from the wall let you place the banner inside the Arcantina.

I would imagine the decor items sold by Morta unlock in similar ways.

Description

Tarenar and I heard stories about the invasion of Icecrown Citadel from all the way out in the Plaguelands. But he's got it all wrong! The elf thinks there were more Ebon Blade commanders than Argent Crusade in the Ashen Verdict. He's completely daft. Obviously there were more paladins! Would you go poke around Icecrown Citadel and find me some proof? I'm sick of arguing with him!

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • A Favor to AxeArcantina · Level 83-90

Kurdran and I spent twenty years in Outland on the other side of the Dark Portal, after we'd pushed the Horde back with Khadgar, Turalyon, and Alleria. There were some good times, but any day I don't wake up in Honor Hold is already a good day.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Still Behind Enemy PortalsArcantina · Level 83-90

In our reminiscing of past events, we were reminded of an artifact that we did not recover during our war with the Burning Legion. This item is a vessel of great evil, and should not stay in the clutches of the remaining demonic forces.
