Did this on my freshly dinged tauren paladin.. really bad idea to do with on fresh 120, he hits like a truck even on its normal attacks. I died about 7-8 times.
For anyone struggling with it follow this method. Wait by the central tauren shaman behind baine as they keep summoning a ring of protection every time the spirit caused death to the living. A tauren ancestor spirit will appear and give you as buff. Keep waiting before attacking the spirit and repeat this until you have 5 stacks of the ancestors buff, and then hot the spirit with cooldowns, remembering the guard and heal as much as you can.
Quick get back into the ring with the shaman as it starts to cast the death to the living spell again and repeat this method.

I was trying to do this on my feral druid, but kept dying over and over again.. After several failed attempts I finally figured out a way..
I respec'd into balance to get some range on the boss. Then I attacked him from just inside the inn and every time my health started getting low, I stepped to the side and hid behind the front wall of the inn. Then I spent some time healing up and stepped back into the doorway and attacked the boss again. It took forever, but I kept doing this until FINALLY the boss died and I was able to turn in the quest.
Hope someone will find this helpful :) <3
do not sit after defeating that ghost

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Storm in Bloodhoof
This is worse than I feared. The people of Bloodhoof Village are in grave danger. Even the brave young tauren who train there are woefully unprepared for the danger that is coming. Do what you can to stop this threat. I will go to Thunder Bluff to warn the High Chieftain.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Thank Your Guide
The balance has been restored, and Thunder Bluff is safe. Thank you. We owe our victory to your spirit's guidance. We must honor the old ways by giving thanks to the ones who came before us. To the southwest lies a beautiful vista where my father once took me.
