Literally just go inside and walk up... I spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to grappling hook around trying to get on top lol

While you can reach the following hook from the rocks on the right side, you have to go up inside the tower for the quest to complete.

So I had a bug where, when I killed him, then went up to the tower, she just wouldn't have the yellow question mark and I could not turn in the quest. The way I fixed it was to dismiss my pet (if you have one) and also, make sure you aren't fighting the quest boss outside the tower before taking the quest. For some reason if I fight him, take him down any percent of health before taking the quest, it won't let me hand in the quest, even though the quest did credit me when I killed him. So yeah. Dismiss pet and only fight the quest boss after taking the quest.

To be even more specific, you have to enter the tower at the bottom and climb to the top. No just killing the boss and flying to the top. I did and even though the quest was flagged complete in my log there was no NPC to turn it in. Abandoned, re-killed, and walked up the steps and no problem.

What to do

StorylineThe Trial of Will, step 6 of 12
Rewards20g 22s, 6,150 XP

Description

Wait, do you still have that grapple launcher? I think you can still get to the path if you can launch from the top of that tower. The gap doesn't seem too bad there. Of course, we'll have to take out the big guy out front first. He looks tough, but I think we have a chance if we can flank him.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Impalement InsuranceStormheim · Level 10-45

It looks like the elements aren't the only thing you'll need to worry about going up that path. Those harpoon launchers on the wall look pretty nasty, and unless we take them out first, they're likely to make short work of anyone trying to scale that path.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Above the Winter MoonlightStormheim · Level 10-45

There, it looks like there's a good spot to launch to right across from here. This path should take you all the way to the top. According to my intel, your dragons should be up there. Let's just hope that they're still in a state to help you.
