Ashes Will Fall

The absolute best strategy to defeat all pets, if you don't have a large roster or are new to pet battles, is to use an entire team of level one pets, as these pet world quests scale with your pet's level. When the pet is scaled to your level at level one, it loses most of its abilities and difficulty.

I went with a full Aquatic team with Pump being the important ability.

Benax (or other Aquatic with Pump):
Swarm of Flies
Pump x2
(Benax dies)

Mud Jumper (or other Aquatic):
Pump x2
(Scorch dies)

I had a River Otter too but didn't need it.

My Level One Pet Strat for this boss is 3 pets with aquatic abilities. I chose 3 level 1 frogs with the Water Jet Ability.

-Small Frog
-Benax
-Void-Scarred Toad

-Sea Pony
-Tree Frog
-Aqua Striders

Level one frogs are easy enough to get near water outside of the starting zone major cities. I did use rare (blue) quality frogs for the extra HP. It killed the first two frogs and I was able to finish him off with the last one.
