as a ilvl 481destruction lock, I used the observer pet since it can interrupt and do some self-healing. Also used a couple of demonic gateways on either side of the boss. Optical blast to interrupt. Kil'Jaeden's Cunning talent allows me to cast and run - you gotta do a lot of casting and a lot of running. Stay out of the sparkly ground. I also used Abyssal pet to stun him when I got tired of running. If you get too close to Ihgaluk Crag, some of those mobs start spilling over to also cause some distraction to you. I looted 25 silver off the slacker!

Ok, just soloed him on a ilvl 484 BMstr Hunter using a direhorn for a pet. I launched Stampede and kept moving....He only knocked me back twice and I got him down fairly quick.
Sorry this doesn't really help other classes. This is the first toon I've done him on.
Best of luck to you.
As a demo warlock, I found an easy and safe way of killing him.
Send in your voidwalker while debuffing/attacking. Behind him is a large tree - this is a safe spot where nothing will hit you. Run there if you get problems, and let the vw keep his attention. Hiding behind other obstacles may work just as fine.
Tested this a little further. You can actually just send in your vw and then hide. It will be a slow fight, but he wasn't even able to kill my vw.
