After completing the quest, you will get [spell=137262] which increases your run speed by 5% for 15 minutes.
I don't think it's intentional, but today (3/11) when my realm unlocked this daily, I mounted with the Moganite and did not drop it.
Also, in order to 'complete' this quest you actually have to walk to ~melee range of the questgiver (in this case, [npc=67994]).

Description
We have been dispatching spies into the Sunreaver base of operations on a daily basis. Some had orders to recover charged moganite from the enemy and bring it here. They have not returned, and I can confirm they have left the Sunreaver base. Search the jungle between here and there and find any of the charged moganite that might have been lost in transit. Bring it to me and we will put it to good use.
