Curtail the Darktail

Curtail the Darktail is an Alliance-only quest for level 15-30 in Blasted Lands. It is step 5 of 56 in the Blasted Lands storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Blasted Lands at 61.5, 18.7. It rewards 4 reward items, 1 reputation reward, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

The other thing that concerns me about those shipwrecks is all the vultures that they've attracted. Knowing how those birds operate, they've already picked the bones clean, but still... we can't allow them to further desecrate the bodies of our friends.

Before I brewed, I hunted. Here, take this bow, and more importantly, these arrows. They've been laced with a little concoction that should give those bonepickers a surprise.

These arrows used to work EVERYWHERE and you could use them on ANYTHING! The arrows have since been modified to work only in the Blasted Lands and apparently only on the birds. These were great "arrows"! They had super long range, didn't even need line-of-sight and did NO damage but make the mobs mad. Imagine you're in Heroic Halls of Lightning, you just killed the first boss and you shoot Volkhan (the blacksmith boss) with the arrows. Yes the "arrows" did reach that far! He gets mad and comes to the first boss's room bringing a TON of the adds with him! The Leeroy Jenkins party lasted longer than your party lasts against this onslaught! I soooo miss those "arrows"...

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Our Fallen FriendsBlasted Lands · Level 15-30

Based on what you're telling me, it sounds like there aren't many survivors... just restless spirits. The least we can do is give them their rest. <Enohar takes a long draw off of a mug of black ale.> Head back to the Shattershore and vanquish the worgen ghosts that still remain.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Watcher Mahar BaBlasted Lands · Level 15-30

It's time for you to visit the Watcher. He's been in a bit of a mood lately, and I'm not quite sure why. Head up to the top of the mage tower and check in with him. I don't have any work for you here, but I'm certain that he will.
