Quest Log

Demoniac Vessel (Horde)

Demoniac Vessel is a Horde-only quest for level 15-30 in Blasted Lands. It is step 55 of 56 in the Blasted Lands storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Blasted Lands at 49.8, 71.4. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 6,200 experience and money.

Description

We need a way to get Wormthorn's attention. Something to break him out of his trance. Something that's guaranteed to work.

The few types of wildlife that managed to make a foothold in the Tainted Forest are, without a doubt, affected by the land's latent energies. Your task is to collect their body parts and find a way to combine them into a vessel. If Wormthorn's trance is druidic, or even if it is demonic, a large enough vessel of tainted animal flesh should be able to break it.

Need 20 crushed Nightstalker Legs. Spiders drop Nightstalker Legs. Zero-four legs per kill. Crush the legs into 1 powder per leg.
Need 2 Screecher Brains. Bats drop 0-1 brain per kill. Mash the brain into a paste.
Need 4 Tainted Hides. Bears drop the hides. 0-1 per kill.
Mix the crushed spider legs and bat brain paste together, and sew the bear hides into a pouch (no thread required). Then combine the mixture and pouch to complete your demoniac vessel.

This quest basically says:
"Hey, remember classic WoW? Me too! Have fun in Outland!"

Only 20? Count yourself lucky. Those bats are more brainless than Blizzard quest designers.

How Best to ProceedBlasted Lands · Level 15-30
Your demon-slaying down there bought our scouts enough time to get a good look at that druid. My intelligence tells me that his name is Marl Wormthorn... a rogue Gilnean druid of substantial power.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

The Downfall of Marl WormthornBlasted Lands · Level 15-30
Wormthorn's unnatural forest threatens our excursion's progress. His trees' roots break our picks, his moss grows over our excavation sites, and his animals attack my men. When it comes to digging, I'll take a demon-infested wasteland over a forest any day.
