The Erratic Sentries are found scattered all over the place. Level 70's non-aggressive, so mistakenly aggro'ing one isn't an issue.
They only have about 5600 health so they go down pretty easily too.
For this quest all you have to do is "kill" them, then use the Attuned Crystal Cores provided. They will turn into a Converted Sentry for about 10 seconds and then despawn.
Right now they have a very high respawn rate so what I did and recommend is finding one or two close together in a semi remote location and go to town. By the time you kill one, tame it, kill the second and tame it the first will have respawned. Takes under 10 minutes with this method.
Upon recovering the Sun's Reach Sanctum (completion of phase 1), this quest replaces Erratic Behavior, and has the same objective but is a permanent daily quest that can be completed for reputation and reward, and will always be available once it is unlocked.

Description
My plan to replace the damaged crystals on the erratic sentries has been a success. We've managed to take the Sun's Reach Sanctum with their help. I've crafted new crystals that will bring more of them under our control; place them inside the hulls of defeated sentries. We'll deploy them to other locations once they're converted.
