When you start this quest, you get accompanied by an elite companion. He hits quite hard - a normal hit for about 1300, and helps you get out of the cave that's besieged by iron dwarves. You'll find that Cretus will have moved to 38, 68 like the post above said.

Quite a cool quest, because of the constant attacks and battles raging outside.
