When flying around the big hole in the ground, the NPC will tell you that you need to find a safe place to drop out. DO NOT USE THE EXIT VEHICLE button despite it telling you to need to find a safe place. It will eventually land in a safe area.
If you did, like me, mistakenly think you had to use use the exit button then you'll find yourself being attacked by trogg patrols that spawn every 4 seconds and you WILL NOT be able to complete this step. Even when you make it to the circle. You need to abandon quest and go back to the airfield.

If you abandon this quest and can't see the NPC to pick it up again, try checking your buffs bar for the buff "Fizzcrank Flight". If you have this buff, right click off of it and that will unphase you so you can properly see the NPCs again to pick up the quest.
No bugs. Just had to mention how I almost fell asleep with how unnecessarily long that plane ride was. It's not extremely egregious, but I have to say some of these heritage quests can be a bit dull. It's like they're trying to make them boring. Maybe they just aren't putting as much time into them anymore.
I guess it beats the allied race method of getting their heritage sets. "You hit level 50! Great! Come back and get some armor and then go away!"
But I suppose they get a lot of coverage in their recruitment quests, so it kind of makes sense they wouldn't invest too much in a closing questline. Something would be nice, though. Even just a few small lines of dialogue about the future of their people and how they feel in the Alliance/Horde.

Description
It looks like the signal is being transmitted from Storm Peaks. Time to put these flying machines to work! I'll keep tracking the signal en route in order to get a cleaner read.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Smarter Than Your Average Trogg
<Cog Captain Winklespring's voice springs to life over your personal communication system.> One of the recon pilots did a scouting run over the station. She reported that there seems to be a trogg on the top level that is larger and smarter than the others.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Gnomercy!
We need to give Tinkerbow some cover while she figures out our new trajectory. <The Cog Captain hands you a miniature spider tank.> It may not look like much, but this is a fully functional spider tank. You'll just need to de-shrinkify it.
