Forging the Keystone

Forging the Keystone is a Horde-only quest for level 25-30 in The Storm Peaks. It is step 64 of 113 in The Storm Peaks storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in The Storm Peaks at 37.3, 49.7. It rewards 4 reward items, 1 reputation reward, 5,150 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 1 achievement.

Description

Aha! Here it is: the Temple of Invention, the seat of Keeper Mimir himself! Of course, that's where one would go to join the two parts of the key.

According to the prospector's notes, the Temple of Invention is one of the highest points on the western side of the Terrace of the Makers. That means it should be roughly east of your Grom'arsh Crash Site.

I'll meet you at the temple and we'll combine the parts together.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Core's KeeperThe Storm Peaks · Level 25-30

Prospector Soren's notes say that Norgannon's Core is in the keeping of a sentinel named Athan, one of Mimir's creations. Soren says the vault where Athan resides is called "Loken's Bargain" these days. Loken, eh? The earthen have mentioned him.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Xarantaur, the WitnessThe Storm Peaks · Level 25-30

It seems we're not the only visitors to this area. A courier relayed a message from a tauren named Xarantaur, who said he was visiting a taunka village called Camp Tunka'lo. The note was somewhat cryptic, but it seems this Xarantaur has come to Storm Peaks to learn the history of a taunka legend.
