TheWoWDBDropped by Coldlight Hunters or Coldlight Oracles which are both kills for the quest Die Fishman Die for Horde and Coldlights Out for Alliance. Not sure if you need the quest, but I'd already killed about 15 of them before I went back to Orako and accepted it and the egg dropped after about three kills.

Description
<This appears to be an egg from one of the devious great-eels that float up above the canyon. You wonder whether or not Orako might be interested in something like this.>

Yup, I killed a bunch before getting the quest, then it dropped for the first hunter I killed after accepting the quest.
