Invasion Point: Cataclysm (Horde)

Invasion Point: Cataclysm is a Horde-only quest for level 25-30 in Shadowmoon Valley. It is step 41 of 147 in the Shadowmoon Valley storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Shadowmoon Valley at 27.5, 21.2. It rewards 525 experience.

Description

Now that we have access to the Legion's base at Invasion Point: Cataclysm, we need to figure out a way to shut down their operations there. Shadowmoon Village won't be safe until the Legion's presence is erased from the valley.

I've sent an advance party up to the invasion point to help you formulate a plan to destroy the Legion's supplies. Go back to Legion Hold and step into the teleporter with the green crystals above it. Nakansi will meet you at your destination.

For people posting info about the alliance quest, please post that in the alliance quest chain. They are identicle, as far as I know, but there are 2 of each quest, and one of the says Horde only and one of the says Alliance only. This saves a lot of confusion.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Before this quest

  • Gaining AccessShadowmoon Valley · Level 25-30

According to Razuun's orders, the massive infernal staging area is called Invasion Point: Cataclysm and it's located in the mountains behind our village! The only way to reach it is by using a teleporter at Legion Hold. Certain Legion minions carry a device allowing them to use the teleporter.

After this quest

  • The Art of Fel Reaver MaintenanceShadowmoon Valley · Level 25-30

The best way to destroy the rest of the Legion's supplies is to use their own weapons against them. I've been working on a rig that will let you take control of one of those Fel Reaver Sentinels below. There are a couple things I need to work out, yet.
