After you kill her, you find a [item=110667] on her corpse revealing that she had been disowned by her master, telling her she was inept and had no talent. She did what she did not because she was a power-hungry blood elf, but because she suffered from psychological trauma.

I had an issue where I would be teleported, but the NPC's wouldn't. I tried just going back to the cave and talking to the dude again, didn't work.

I dropped the quest, reloaded my UI, and retried, worked fine.

Description

The focusing crystal is complete, {name}. When you are ready I will use the crystal to shatter Kaelynara's shield. However, it is unsafe to confront her within the mine. The moment her shield is down I will teleport us to a safe location outside of the Jorune Mine. She will be much easier to deal with when she is far away from the crystal. Speak with me when you are ready to begin.
