Light's Rest

Light's Rest is an Alliance-only quest for level 20-40 in Talador. It is step 7 of 24 in the In the Shadows of Auchindoun storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Talador at 57.2, 77.1. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 2,750 experience and money.

Description

With the brute force of our enemy neutralized, we must turn our sights on quelling the aftermath and preparing for any future assaults. We still need Auchindoun's defenses reinvigorated.

Meet me at Light's Rest, not far south of here. We have reports coming in of demonic taint in the area, and we may be able to track down the remaining power crystal shards at its source.

So I've been doing this questline to try and get the achievement "Don't Let the Tala-door Hit You on the Way Out" - However, when I go to the destination of the quest to give it in to Exarch Maladaar at Light's Rest, he's not there. I have tried to follow him as he rides off on his mount but he vanishes mid-way. Abandoned the quest and accepted it a few times, he just doesn't show up. Has anyone else experienced this or know how to solve this?

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • We Must Construct Additional PylonsTalador · Level 20-40

We came here to retrieve a reserve pylon to power Auchindoun's defenses, but we've been pinned to this position by the Shadow Council for hours! I need to get these injured back to Exarch's Refuge, but we still need the backup system!

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Vile DefilersTalador · Level 20-40

The spiders in the nearby overrun mine are feared by many, for their venom twists the very form of their victims. Many of the locals stay far away from their hollow, but I fear the Shadow Council has become privy to this information.
