The Real race is the daily, this seem to be the repeatable for no rewards. Or maybe I can't see them.

This quest is definitely still in the game. It does not reward anything, but can be used to get the different racing achievements.
On a side note, after doing this quest a few times, got 3 achv, i got bugged out on the mount. When i try to dismount, it says "You can't do that right now."
This quest is repeatable but does not reward reputation or [currency=515]. The only purpose of this quest is to get the Darkmoon Faire achievements.
