Well... seems like Taurens won't be saved in this quest. Merciless Night Elves....
Also, freeing the Captives while mounted, won't dismount you.

The horde version of this quest is For the Tribe.
I had a bit of trouble with this at first since the area was heavily populated and I couldn't see the mobs I needed until they respawned.
They are called Captive Sentinel, and you right click them to free them. You can do this while mounted and it will not dismount you.

What to do
Description
We were searching the ruins south of here when the mogu fell upon us out of nowhere. Some of us were able to retreat to this encampment but many others were captured. The mogu have also caught a number of the Horde who happened to be in the area as well. Please, {name}, rescue any sentinels that you can. Leave the Dawnchasers to their fate.
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Before this quest

- Going on the Offensive
Ha! So my father just wasted twenty years of our lives on a fool's errand! I'm taking charge. When Tyrande sent us here she was very specific that we not come back until we find the source of the Light that she saw in her visions. It's obvious now that the Pools of Youth were not it.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Re-Reclaim
Mogu do NOT use arcane magics. They are thugs. They have always been thugs. Only when they ruled their empires in the old stories did they ever know any kind of magic. But these mogu are using arcane portals and old artifacts. We need to stop them!
