Not So Fast!

Not So Fast! is a quest for level 10-30 in Desolace. It is step 58 of 63 in the Desolace storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Desolace at 40.5, 95.5. It rewards 4,100 experience and money.

Description

<The Khan of the Gelkis clan stares at you with an empty gaze as you detail the demon threat and Leh'prah's visions.>

It matters not to me what becomes of this land now. I have failed my clan and my forefathers....

There is but one thing left in this world that might bring my old soul hope, and she's likely dead as well.

My precious daughter, Kherrah, was taken from me by the Maraudine clan. If you can bring her back to me alive, I shall consider your proposal.

This questline ends rather abruptly. Since you're in the area, pop into Maraudon and find a "Broken Relic" which starts a quest. It's not the instance you're entering, just the ... foyer. So no need for a group.

While you're killing the Maulers, one of them will likely drop a quest item. This will lead you to Kherrah who is caged, handily, right beside your broken relic which starts another questline. Note: Kherrah questline is also do-able by Horde.

And since you're in the area ... Melizza Brimbluzzle is also caged and requires an escort.

OP: "This questline ends rather abruptly." Don't pay too much attention to the way Wowhead breaks it into questlines. Behind Closed Doors should logically be considered part of the same line. After all, the text for this one says, "You are to search their corpses for clues to Kherrah's whereabouts." The "clue" you find when you do that gives you Behind Closed Doors, so it continues. But yes, it's not the same quest giver as the previous turn-in, so Wowhead doesn't make the connection.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Three PrincesDesolace · Level 10-30

The Gelkis reside in southwest Desolace. They are just as stubborn as the Magram, and since they have not suffered war and relocation, they are considerably stronger. Humbling the Gelkis will require an extreme show of force. Khan Shodo and his three sons rule the clan.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Behind Closed DoorsDesolace · Level 10-30

You've discovered the location of Khan Shodo's daughter, Kherrah. She is being held behind the doors to Maraudon! The rescue attempt is certain to be risky, but if you seek the Gelkis clan's cooperation, you must free the Khan's daughter.
