You have to kill the 1st boss then clear trash to the bridge to Carapace of N'Zoth. 1 boss + 20 minutes of trash.
Do not pass Go, do not collect 200 gold.

You turn it into Wrathion just before the 2nd-last boss (Carapace). He won't let you turn it in however until you have activated his dialogue. Which means you'll have to clear almost the entire raid to get to him.

Description
Ny'alotha does not obey the rules of space and time, and we may be able to use this to our advantage. MOTHER theorizes that if we obtain specific objects from N'Zoth's chosen, we can utilize them to bend space and expedite our passage here in the future. Though, it is doubtful they will relinquish these items willingly.
Getting there
Inside the raid: Ny'alotha, the Waking City
Ny'alotha, the Sleeping City, has awakened. Under N'Zoth's command, the armies of the Black Empire threaten to engulf the world and reshape it according to their master's vision. Only one hope remains: using the repaired titan forges to eradicate the Corruptor once and for all.
